The CTC (Certified Travel Counselor) designation is conferred by the Institute of Certified Travel Agents upon travel professionals who have completed a rigorous two-level certification program, exemplify the highest standards of professionalism, demonstrate advanced knowledge of business, industry and global issues necessary for expert practice, and possess at least five years of industry work experience.

Suraj Zutshi was certified in 1977.

On July 6, 2005, Mr. Zutshi earned the Certified Travel Industry Executive designation from The Travel Institute. The CTIE designation is conferred upon travel professionals who complete an advanced certification program, demonstrate extensive industry knowledge and experience, and exemplify the highest standards of professionalism.

Mr. Zutshi has joined an elite group of professionals who have shown a dedication and commitment to enhancing service in the travel industry. The CTIE program explores and evaluates leadership style and effectiveness, and focuses on self-discovery, self-development, and high-level challenges. The CTIE program addresses the most pressing business issues in all segments of the travel industry. CTIEs are required to earn at least 10 Continuing Education Units per year to maintain their designation.

Suraj Zutshi is the first CTIE in Nevada and one of only 100 in the country.
