Everyone of the guests felt they received
their money's worth and they would all recommend these trips
to others. Several have expressed interest in going back to
India to see a different area. Most important, everyone will
travel with us again. Comment sheets are available for
inspection in the office. If you would like to talk to any
of these past guests, I will be happy to provide you with a
contact.

Dear Mr. Zutshi:
I want to thank you for the
wonderful trip that I and the 3 other women had recently to
Singapore, Siem Reap, western Bhutan, and
Kolcata. It was magical. I would go again
in a minute and do it all over again. I especially
want to thank you for arranging for the hospitality of Mr.
and Mrs. S.N. Sengupta. They were both most
charming. It was a treat to have them take us to their
home for refreshments, and then out for a delicious and very
special dinner. The gifts were lovely, and very much
appreciated. The arrangements you made for the
lovely hotels and the guides were much appreciated.
The trip was terrific, and I am ready to do
it again--right now! Actually, this Fall
would be the soonest that I could arrange my schedule.
So, I need to ask you what
other trips are you arranging? You mentioned one to
South India this winter. I would also like to visit
Northern India. Please inform me of any trips ... that
you think I might like.
Again, thank you very much for
arranging such an amazing trip.
Sincerely,
Dena Sandmeyer

Dear Suraj and Smiley,
Wanted to thank you for an excellent vacation. The Palace On
Wheels was wonderful. I would recommend it to anyone
visiting Rajasthan. The trip was organized very well, we
really appreciated your close care of us first time India
visitors. The drivers you arranged were also excellent.
Keith told me about his adventure in returning from Agra, it
worked out fine due to your planning ahead to allow extra
time. The beautiful gold bowl sits on our coffee table (on a
German embroidered scarf!).
The business portion of my trip went very well, and I will
be returning to India probably twice a year. We look forward
to arranging our next adventures with you, and have highly
recommended your travel services to my colleagues.
I will send to Suraj some of the Palace On Wheels
information we collected. Thank you so much again for a
wonderful trip.
Cheers,
Susie
IMAGES OF INDIA & NEPAL
The little extras (flower leis,
fanny packs, a special evening at your Mother's home) etc.,
all added to a wonderful experience and well run trip.
Airplane delays were even a chance to see the locals at
close range. Will remember Varanasi and the boat ride on the
Ganges as well as walking across the swinging bridge to the
village in Nepal. Everyone thought we were nuts to go--how
wrong they were!

The key to a memorable escorted
tour is the Tour Director--so thanks to you Suraj, our trip
has been superb. We enjoyed the pursuit of Tiger on elephant
back--even though we saw Rhinos and no Tiger--some great
pictures in both our memories and on film from early morning
boat ride on the river Ganges with the gathered faithful
cleansing themselves of sins--and of course the Taj
Mahal--no superlative will do it justice.

JEWELS OF INDIA
At this point in my life it's nice to be
"taken care of" and on this trip I was "taken
care of" with class. Each day was a new adventure and I
always felt safe. The size of the group was perfect too. It
was a dream come true--especially the dream I have had a few
times of "running out of road". The bus driver was
outstanding--if only he could be on every trip. The
"Taj" was outstanding; the warmth of the people
and their curiosity of us. Thank you to you and your loving
family for the best time one could have in India.
Helen Haines, Watsonville, CA
The diversity of the trip--India is so foreign and
wonderful. Slower pace, so colorful!! I was continuously
surprised and amazed; the color overshadowed any poverty. It
was a bit of fantasy. Suraj, you are a wonderful escort in
India. You are so positive, enthusiastic, and happy. Being
with you was daily laugh therapy. I loved the Tiger,
elephant and camel ride. I was serenaded on the verandah at
7AM at the Roop Niwas Palace (me-alone-fantastic). The red
carpet, rose petals at the Roop made me feel like a
princess. Your Mom's home and the farmhouse personalized the
trip. I have been home almost two weeks, I remain full of
peace and very happy. The more people I show the photos
to--I realize how absolutely incredible the trip was! Thank
you. Thank you.
Karen Evans, Ross, CA
This was our second time to India and because this
time we chose "Jewels of India" with Zutshi
Travel, we are ready to go again and see more. Suraj made us
feel very welcome by taking us to his Mother's home. His
Mother, sister, family, staff and, or course, Akshay, were
all charming. Enjoyed this trip very much. Loved Suraj's
surprises for us. We shall return. I can highly recommend
Suraj--this is a person who truly cares about the
satisfaction of his members.
Hanley & Katy Siou, San Leandro, CA
Most positive in all areas. Made us feel like
welcome guests, not just paying customers. It was certainly
a grand time with much fun, thanks to all of you. The warm
hospitality of your family, the well chosen restaurants for
dinner and especially the varied evening programs; also the
thoughtfulness of stamped post cards ready to mail--all
features which stand out in memory.
Anne & Gerald Evans, Cooperstown, NY
"Jewels of India" was just an incredible
tour, exceeding my expectations at every turn. Tour basics
alone represented an exceptional value (top hotels, fine
food and the best bus driver in all the Raj!), and the
variety of activities offered was pretty amazing. What made
this trip really amazing was that we got all that and so
much more. I can hardly believe how much we saw and did in
that brief time, but have about a zillion photos to refresh
my memory. It was truly a Unique Journey in the most
positive sense. Suraj had those many extras and fun
surprises for us (he even smuggled that Valentine for me
into the Taj Mahal!!) And the personal attention and warm
hospitality offered to us by the Zutshi family, their
friends and associates throughout our stay enriched our
experience immeasurably. I really enjoyed the high tea and
the farmhouse evening, and it was a great pleasure to have
Akshay along on the bus trip through Rajasthan. The terrific
camaraderie that our group developed in the course of the
tour is another testament to Suraj's talent and heart. This
is the visit to India the first time--and every time. I'll
be back.

The whole experience was fantastic! India is
beautiful--mostly the people make it so. Felt so welcome
everywhere we went. The Taj Mahal is even more beautiful in
person. It was great seeing it at sunset as well as in the
morning light. Can't say enough about Unique Journeys and
Zutshi Travel--I felt I was part of the "Rich and
Famous". Every little detail was planned well. Have
traveled all over the world with many different tour
companies but have never been treated so royally! Do not
know how you can do it and charge what you do. Enjoyed the
cocktail party at your Mother's house; your Mother, sister
and brother-in-law are all very nice as was the rest of your
company that night.

Suraj, I had the best time in India and Nepal and I
can't wait to return. I can't tell you (yes I can) how
incredibly impressed I was by your tour; by far the best one
I have ever taken. What I have been telling people is how
personalized, how intimate the tour was. How much we got to
see in a very short time; but not just that, the quality of
what we got to see and experience was outstanding. I loved
the way the trip was organized, the pace, the special
surprises, eating out at unusual places. Most of all, I
loved spending time with your family, such a wonderful
personal touch. Keep me posted about your trip to Nepal,
Bhutan and Tibet. It was lovely meeting your Mother and
spending time with her.
Helen Perina, Fairfax, CA
The trip was excellent. We got to learn about
Indian history and contemporary life, thanks to the local
guides and Akshay. Flying the longer distances between
cities was a good idea, but the areas covered by bus gave us
the best insights into today's India. We developed a real
affection for the country and its people. We've always loved
traveling by ourselves--no tours and no schedules--so we
were apprehensive about our first guided tour. No more! It
became clear to us, very early in the tour, that The Travel
Center in Reno and Zutshi Travel in New Delhi is in the
business for the love of it. I don't know what else you
could have done in the way of sightseeing, service, hotels,
meals, air travel and "royal treatment" to make it
better than it was. We'll definitely be interested in going
back for your trip which includes Nepal.

SOUTH AFRICA
Suraj,
... I must say the safari was wonderful. It was an
experience I will always remember. We had a great guide,
very personable and extremely knowledgeable. All the hotels
were very pleasant. Good choices all around and the Grand is
over the top and the grounds were beautiful. We ate in the
Hotel restaurant one night and it was a memorable meal.
As for the flights, all went well but long. We all thought
sitting on the upper deck on the 747 was the way to go. More
room to move about and less of a feeling of being in such a
huge plane. We were glad to have our same seats on the
return trip.
It was wonderful vacation. If I were to make any changes it
would be to stay longer and add Victoria Falls and a visit
to one of the archeological digs at the beginning of the
trip. ...
